“Travel isn’t always pretty. It isn’t always comfortable. Sometimes it hurts, it even breaks your heart. But that’s okay. The journey changes you; it should change you. It leaves marks on your memory, on your consciousness, on your heart, and on your body. You take something with you. Hopefully, you leave something good behind.”Anthony Bourdain
My name is Liam, originally from South Africa. I enjoy a good drink, maybe a few to many, and loves spending time with my mates and having a good laugh. Sharing a drink can be a way to remember the good times, reliving laughter and conversations that once flowed effortlessly. I am navigating a new chapter in my life, finding solace and inspiration in the words and travels of Anthony Bourdain. As I journey through this uncertain period, I have has discovered a newfound passion for food and trying new things. I recently relocated to Tokyo for a few months for work. A solo adventure allows me the freedom to explore at my own pace, dive into the myriad experiences, and embrace the thrill of navigating one of the world’s most dynamic cities. My goal for this blog is to look at Tokyo & Japan from a different perspective all while seeking balance and purpose in a world that, for me has always been just a little bit unpredictable.
